was founded by John Robert Dearden Wilde on 11 July 1960. Originally trading in non ferrous metals the company gradually progressed into manufacturing, and is still a family owned and managed business. The Company is Europe’s leading manufacturer of funeral furnishings and has manufacturing plants in Birmingham and Glasgow.

Founded in 1965 and acquired by John Wilde in 1982, J.G. Learmonth moved to new premises last year to accommodate the latest in technical fabric handling equipment, with fully computerised order handling. They are now Scotland’s largest soft goods supplier, able to fulfil all orders within 48 hours.

Our software operation
has grown out of the many years experience we gained in designing our bespoke systems and our team includes both hardware and software specialists.

In addition to the supply and support of our own specialist software we can assist in the supply of standard "off the shelf" software such as word processors, spreadsheets, route planners etc.
