How can I access the Funeral Manager User Forum
Email our office with your request and we will mail back a user name and password to give access to the user forum

I can't seem to find details by either reference number or deceased's name
The associated index files are probably in need of rebuilding. Go to the utilities tab and first of select "Purge Indexes" and then "Rebuild indexes"

When printing an account I get the main details repeated
This is normally caused by having a blank line or a no value line in one of the three extras sections (Press Notices, Flowers and Disbursements) check and correct and retry.

I keep losing the text entry in the obituary screen.
When entering the text of an obituary always save the memo entry by using the save button on the memo screen and then exit the memo section by clicking on another field and then click the save button on the entry screen.

I can't access the Doctors Fees.
The funeral type has been changed from cremation to burial or the case has been classified as a Coroner's case. To remedy set the funeral type to Cremation and the Coroner's case to No, access the doctors fees and edit or remove and then change the above parameters back to their correct settings

A Funeral Record has been duplicated.
Run the system tidy up option on the Utilities tab. It is also a good idea to periodically run the various remove blank record options.

My Donation entries are not working correctly.
When entering a charity (s) on a funeral record they must ALWAYS be selected from the drop down list based on the contacts file and not directly typed in. This is because selecting from a drop down list inserts a unique reference number for the charity which allows the records to be linked together. If you have already made entries of donations use the "Charity amend" option to insert the correct details both on to the funeral record and any donation records entered.

Names such as McDonald are converting to Mcdonald
This is due to the auto capitalisation feature within Funeral Manager. The system carries an internal "exception dictionary" which it checks when case converting text entries. In the example above Mcdonald is clearly not in the dictionary. To put an entry permanently into the dictionary, first of all clear the field you are typing into. Next type JUST the word to be stored EXACTLY as it should be i.e. McDonald and the press and hold down the Ctrl (bottom left) and Shift (key above) and press and release the A key and this will insert the word into the dictionary. The same applies to roman numerals i.e. IV is converted to Iv use the same technique.
